Message from the PFA President, by Lisa Rogers
NPHS PFA represents parents and faculty, working together to provide programs and services for our school that might not otherwise be available. Our purpose is to help create a positive working relationship between home and school by encouraging parental involvement in volunteer programs and school activities.
Through fundraising we are able to provide financial support for programs that enrich learning, support social and character development for our students, and increase a sense of pride in our NPHS community. We encourage all parents to attend our general meetings, which are typically held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in Room A2. In the coming year we have plans to invite a guest speaker to one or more of the meetings to provide parents with information on a variety of topics of interest to parents of teenagers. Check the website for meeting updates.

The Goal of PFA
The primary goal of PFA is to support the Newbury Park High School mission. Parents and guardians play an integral role in this mission through volunteer efforts, support of fundraising opportunities, and by their presence at school events. NPHS has been fortunate over the years to have many committed parent volunteers who have truly made a difference in the lives and education of our children. We invite all parents and guardians to explore the wide range of volunteer opportunities available that benefit our NPHS community. Please take a moment to consider the opportunities listed on the PFA membership form, which is included in every issue of Panther Pursuits as well as the NPHS office.
Please feel free to contact me at pfapres@yahoo.com with any questions or concerns. All of us look forward to meeting and working with you.
