Latin American Students Association (LASA)

Club Description:

The Latin American Students Association's goal is to provide leadership opportunities for students of Hispanic backgrounds! Members have a chance to interact with each other to accomplish common goals, which unites them even more. Participation in community and school service is a high priority. The most important part is that L.A.S.A members have lots of fun and unity supporting each other in their academic endeavors .

Anyone can join the club! There are 50 members in the club. All students are welcome to attend meetings or any other activity. Students who may enjoy the club are those who are interested in Spanish language, Hispanic culture, and making new friends.

There are several exciting club events scheduled for the school year. All members work really hard when it comes to raising money for club trips. Fundraisers go from washing cars to selling candy. This year trips will be fun and exciting. Members will be taking a trip to Magic Mountain and attending a Dance show. Also a dance with T.O. and Westlake High School is planned to raise money for scholarships. There will also be a potluck awards dinner and plenty of holiday parties.
