Newbury Park High School is located in Newbury Park, California, about 50 miles northwest of Los Angeles. The school was built in 1967. Academic excellence and quality instruction of students is the goal at NPHS. Currently, there are approximately 83 employed regular education teachers(including 11 special education teachers), 4 full time counselors, 5 administrators, a part-time nurse, a part-time psychologist, a full-time librarian, a part-time speech therapist, and a support staff of 57 classified employees (including cafeteria and maintenance/operations staff). These numbers are equal to full time equivalents.

There are 45 athletic teams representing 19 different sports, a large number of active clubs and co-curricular activities for the students to participate in, and a well balanced curriculum for every student that features programs from basic to Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses.

NPHS boasts several programs in the Performing Arts. They include a strong Band and Pageantry program, a well-developed choral department featuring a large Concert Choir and a small Chamber Choir, a fine drama program, and a dance program.

In addition to athletic teams and Performing Arts groups, there exists a handful of academic teams and organizations including Mock Trial, Speech and Debate, Academic Decathlon, California Scholarship Federation, and Amnesty International.

Our Library also has access to the internet, and a vast selection of books. You can see their website here
